St. Joseph
Awarded Accreditation from the Joint Commission
By demonstrating compliance with the Joint Commission
on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations's national
standards for health care quality and safety, St.
Joseph Health Services and its operating divisions
have earned the Joint Commission's Gold Seal of Approval.
"We sought accreditation for our organization
because we want to demonstrate our commitment to patients'
safety and quality care," said H. John Keimig,
president and CEO of St. Joseph Health Services. "We
view obtaining Joint Commission accreditation as another
step toward achieving excellence."
The Joint Commission conducted its 4-day, on-site
survey in October, 2005. The hospital has received
full accreditation since the voluntary process started
in 1953.
