Endocrinologist Roberto Ortiz, MD, has been elected President of the Medical Staff of St.
Joseph Health Services of Rhode Island. Dr. Ortiz, who will serve a two year term, joined the
medical staff of St. Joseph Health Services in 1998.
“I am excited to have this opportunity to build on the hard work of my physician colleagues at
St. Joseph Health Services,” said Dr. Ortiz. “My goal is to continue our focus on quality
improvements that will benefit patients in our care.”
Dr. Ortiz is board-certified in Endocrinology. He completed his fellowship in Diabetes and
Endocrinology at Rhode Island Hospital/Brown University and his residency at Conemaugh
Memorial Hospital/Temple University. He graduated medical school from the Universidad
Autonoma De Baja California.
