Nursing School Enrolls Largest Class In Years

8/15/2011

The newest class at the St. Joseph School of Nursing is the largest in recent memory, with more than 60 students enrolled. “Rhode Island is going to face a severe shortage of RNs as baby-boom nurses retire,” said David Becker, MS, RN, Director, St. Joseph School of Nursing. “At St. Joseph School of Nursing, we’ve worked hard to help potential nurses understand the benefits of a three year hospital-based RN program.”

Enrollment has grown steadily over the last decade, from 20 students in 2002 to 46 last year. The school has made adjustments to attract more students from scheduling changes, classroom adjustments, and the addition of more faculty. Congratulations to the nursing school staff and welcome to our incoming class.
