MEDICAL
OPTIONS
At St. Joseph Health Services
of Rhode Island, we know that healthcare is very important
to our employees. That's why we offer two different
options for health coverage for employees and eligible
dependents with Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Rhode
Island.
Both options offer high percentage employer paid contribution
and provide complete coverage including: hospital care,
office visits, outpatient surgery, prescription drugs,
behavioral health and more.
DeltaUSA
We offer Delta Dental's DeltaUSA program, you have access
to the nation's largest network of dentists - over 108,000
dentists nationwide! That's three out of every four
dentists in the country.
HEALTHCARE and DEPENDENT CARE
REIMBURSEMENT ACCOUNTS
Employees are eligible to establish a pretax reimbursement
account for health care and/or dependent care expenses.
The health care account yearly maximum is $3000 pretax,
and the dependent care account yearly maximum is $5000
per family (pretax).
BASIC TERM LIFE INSURANCE
AND AD&D
Employees with 20 standard hours or more receive free
life insurance benefits paid for by the Hospital. Employees
can purchase additional life insurance coverage for
spouse and dependents.
LONG TERM DISABILITY
St. Joseph Health Services of Rhode Island offers employees
at no cost, Long-Term Disability (LTD) insurance with
Prudential Financial. LTD replaces a portion of your
salary if you become disabled.
RETIREMENT/SAVINGS PLANS
403(b) Retirement Savings Plan Contributions begin on
the first of the month following 30-days of employment.
Auto enrollment with 3% minimum employee pre-tax contribution;
2% hospital match for the first 5 years of service
TUITION REIMBURSEMENT
Employees can receive up to $1500 per acedemic year
for degreed program courses depending upon the number
of hours per employee work week.
VOLUNTARY BENEFITS
Employees may purchase the following post-taxed voluntary
benefits through UNUM, administered by the Farmington

Employees are eligible to receive access to special
group rates, hassle-free payment options and unique
built-in coverage features to protect you in the event
of a loss of personal property through MetLife. MetLife
Auto & Home offers a number of policies to meet
all of your property insurance needs, including: Auto,
Home, Renters, Condo, Recreational Vehicle, Boat, Fire
and more.
LEGAL INSURANCE
With a legal plan administered by ARAG, eligible employees
(regular, active employees with 20 standard hours) have
access to professional legal help if you need to protect
yourself and your loved ones from legal difficulties.
EMPLOYEE ASSISTANCE PROGRAM
As part of our commitment to our employees, St. Joseph
Health Services of Rhode Island offers, at no cost,
Employee Assistance Programs through Resource International
Employee Assistance Services (RIEAS).
EMPLOYEE REFERRAL PROGRAM
Employee referral program provides cash bonuses for
employees who refer a person who is later hired
VACATION
Employees are granted up to three weeks of paid vacation
per year based on hours worked, and length of time continuously
employed by the Hospital. Employees begin to accrue
vacation time from the first day of employment.
HOLIDAYS
Full-Time and Part-Time employee are granted 10 paid
holidays including 1 floating holiday
SICK TIME
Regular full and part time status employees become eligible
to utilize accrued sick time after six months of continuous
service/employment. Sick time is accrued weekly at maximum
accrual rate of 1.84617 and an annualized rate of 12
days per year for full-time employees. Part-time employees
accrue based on a pro-rata basis.
