Community Health Needs Assessment
CharterCARE Health Partners -- the parent company of Our Lady of Fatima Hospital and Roger Williams Medical Center -- regularly undergoes a comprehensive study of unmet health needs in the communities we serve. This study -- known as a community health needs assessment (CHNA) -- is updated every three years to ensure our strategic plans and programs are responding to changing needs and demographics in our community.
Representatives from Fatima, Roger Williams, and other hospitals in Rhode Island met in the spring to review the findings of this study and agreed to work together to address identified needs. While hospitals have community-specific implementation plans to address these and other areas, they will continue to meet collectively to address these issues collaboratively and analyze the impact of their activities. The CHNA Steering Committee and Rhode Island Department of Health were also involved in the process to ensure statewide efforts for community health improvements were properly aligned.
In response to those extensive findings, CharterCARE has proposed plans to meet these needs. Click the link below to review our study and its recommendations.
