CharterCARE Announces New Visitor Guidelines July 2020
Effective Thursday, July 9, CharterCARE Health Partners and its affiliate hospitals, Roger Williams Medical Center and Our Lady of Fatima Hospital, has eased visitor restrictions in all acute and ambulatory areas. This is consistent with the Rhode Island Department of Health decision to transition from a level 3 to a Level 2 visitation policy.
Our new guidelines are as follows:
Visitors are limited to one per patient/room and must be 18 years of age or older. The visitor may stay for no more than one (1) hour.
All visitors will be screened(and must be negative for COVID-19.
All visitors must wear face coverings/appropriate PPE and must maintain social distancing.
Visitors may not bring in any belongings.
At Roger Williams, visitors must enter through the East Entrance only.
At Fatima, visitors must enter through the Central Registration Entrance only.
All visitors must check in with security to be issued a visitor’s badge. The badge must always be worn and be visible.
There will be no congregating in waiting rooms, gift shops or cafeterias. Social distancing should be observed.
Visitors may accompany a patient to their outpatient destination/department but then must leave the building or wait in their car.
Visitors for COVID-positive or PUI patients are not be allowed except in certain situations and approved by the Administrator on Call. Visitors yo the B0ne Marrow Transplant Unit must wear a surgical mask rather than other “face coverings”. Any exceptions must go through the AOC.
Behavioral Health: Center One-no visitors;
West Four- 6 PM-7 PM;
West Three- 1:30 PM-2:30 PM and 6:00 PM-8:00 PM. Weekends and holidays 1:00 PM-6:00 PM;
2 Center-1:00 PM-2:30 PM and 6:00 PM-7:30 PM. Weekends 1:00 PM-6:00 PM; 3 South-1:00 PM-2:30 PM and 6:00 PM-7:30 PM. Weekends 2:00 PM-6:00 PM;
2 South-1:00 PM-2:30 PM and 6:00 PM-7:30 PM. Weekends 1:00 PM-6:00 PM.
All other departments 8:00 AM-8:00 PM.
