Outpatient Diabetes Education classes start on September 28
Let the certified outpatient educators from Fatima Hospital show you how to live with diabetes. This five week series of classes starts on Wednesday, September 28th from 10 am. to noon (daytime sessions) or 6 p.m. - 8 p.m. (evening sessions) at Fatima Hospital.
Our Diabetes Management Center offers a comprehensive educational experience consisting of five two hour classes that meet weekly. The more you know about diabetes, the better you can manage this complex disease. Our team consists of a dynamic group of certified diabetes educators -- nurses, pharmacists and registered dietitians -- committed to providing you with the knowledge you need to succeed.
During this 5-week session, you will learn about topics including nutrition, medication, exercise, blood sugar monitoring, blood glucose goals, managing illness, coping strategies, the latest research and much more. You will meet and gain the support from others who share the diagnosis of diabetes. At the end of the five week program, you will have a clear strategy to better succeed in caring for your diabetes.
