Theodore “TJ” Sarrazin, RN, honored as Clinical Practice Nurse of the Year
Theodore “TJ” Sarrazin, RN, was honored on September 27 as Clinical Practice Nurse of the Year at the Excellence in Nursing Awards, sponsored by Rhode Island Monthly and the Rhode Island State Nurses Association. The winners are chosen by a panel of out-of-state nursing professionals. TJ was recognized along with his colleague Diane D’Ambra, RN, MS, WCC, WCN, Director of Education at Roger Williams, who was named Clinical Nurse Educator of the Year.
TJ, a nurse in the CCU at Fatima Hospital, was recognized as Clinical Practice Nurse of the Year. He has been with Fatima since 2012 and has been a member of the ICU team since 2015. He also serves as a firefighter for the town of Rehoboth, Massachusetts. Earlier this year, TJ became certified at the Firefighter I and II levels, along with receiving his certification for Hazardous Materials Awareness. In June, he was presented with the Martin H. McNamara Award for graduating top of his class at the Massachusetts Fire Academy.
