(North Providence, RI)
Fatima Hospital continues its five-week diabetes education series with a class on Tuesday, September 14 from 6-8:00 p.m. in the hospital's cafeteria,
200 High Services Avenue, North Providence.

Led by dynamic certified diabetes educators including a registered nurse, pharmacist
and registered dietitian, these classes cover topics including how to monitor your blood glucose and what the numbers mean, the importance of exercise in managing diabetes and how to get started, how to keep all of your medications straight, learning to live and cope with diabetes and how to best take care of yourself and prevent the complications
of diabetes.

Participants meet and gain the support of our faculty and others who share the diagnosis
of diabetes, as well as the opportunity to receive an individual session with a dietitian.

For more information or to register,
call the Diabetes Management Center at 456-3746.

Space is limited to the first 20 participants. While there is a fee for this service, most insurers cover the cost of these classes.

As an American Diabetes Association certified program, the Diabetes Self-Management Education program at Fatima is recognized as meeting the national standards for excellence set by the American Diabetes Association.
