TWO NEW TRUSTEES JOIN BOARD OF ST. JOSEPH HEALTH
SERVICES
(January 26, 2010 - North Providence, RI) -
St. Joseph Health Services of Rhode Island has announced
the appointment of Rev. Robert H. Forcier, R.Ph., and
Ellen Frances McCarty, Ph.D, R.N., PMHCNS-BC, to its
Board of Trustees.
Rev. Forcier (of Cranston) is Associate Pastor at Holy
Apostles Church in Cranston and also serves as the Human
Life Guild Chaplain. He is a member of the Diocesan
Pastoral Council and is a registered pharmacist with
a B.A in pharmacy from the University of Rhode Island.
Rev. Forcier received his Masters in Spirituality from
Pontifical University of St. Thomas Aquinas in Rome.
Ellen McCarty (of Somerset, MA) is a professor of nursing
at Salve Regina University and is a scholar and researcher
in the areas of geropsychiatry and family care. She
serves as Chairperson of the Salve Regina University
Institutional Review Board. McCarty received her Ph.D.
in Nursing from the Boston College School of Nursing
and her M.S. in Adult Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing
from the Boston University School of Nursing.

Rev. Monsignor Paul D. Theroux, JCL, Chairman of the
St. Joseph Health Services Board. "Their perspectives
in spiritual care, nursing, and education will prove
helpful as St. Joseph Health Services strives to continually
enhance the well-being of the community we serve."

Health Services of RI is the corporate parent of Our
Lady of Fatima Hospital, St. Joseph Hospital for Specialty
Care and the St. Joseph Living Center. The Catholic
health system operates 270 beds, employees more than
