ST. JOSEPH HEALTH SERVICES OF RHODE ISLAND ANNOUNCES
OPENING OF PEDIATRIC DENTAL ASSOCIATES
(Johnston, RI) St. Joseph Health Services of Rhode
Island is pleased to announce the opening of Pediatric
Dental Associates, in Johnston, a new dental practice
dedicated to the unique and specific dental needs of
children, from newborns to the age of 18.
"Studies have proven that good dental health is
a key contributor to a child's social and emotional
well-being as well as school performance," said
Daniel J. Kane, D.M.D., Dental Director of the St. Joseph
Hospital Pediatric Dental Program. "We are pleased
to increase the availability of specially trained pediatric
dentists for the children of Johnston and surrounding
communities."
The new practice is one of very few pediatric dental
practices in Rhode Island. Services offered include
diagnostic exams and x-rays, preventative cleanings,
fluoride treatments and sealants, restorative dentistry,
endontics and oral surgery.
"Plus, our affiliation with Our Lady of Fatima
Hospital allows us to provide hospital-based dental
procedures for more complex cases, including those requiring
sedation, in a short amount of time," said Kane.
Pediatric Dental Associates' dentists have received
training at and are faculty members of the prestigious
Lutheran Medical Center/St. Joseph Hospital Pediatric
Advanced Education Program in Pediatric Dentistry.
St. Joseph Health Services of Rhode Island operates
the state's largest pediatric dental program serving
more than 20,000 kids annually through locations in
Providence and Pawtucket as well as public school-based
outreach programs in those same cities.
Pediatric Dental Associates is conveniently located
in the Atwood Medical Center complex in Johnston. For
