FATIMA CONTINUES CONTRACT NEGOTIATIONS

As you may have heard, Fatima Hospital is in contract negotiations with the Union representing 380 of its nurses. The Hospital values its nurse professionals and remains hopeful that it can reach a fair and equitable settlement prior to the July 31 expiration of the contract.

You should also know that the Union has not issued a strike notice to the Hospital. In the event the Union chooses to proceed with a 10-day strike notice, the Hospital will be prepared and communicate with our physicians and patients.

Finally, the Union will be conducting informational picketing at Fatima on Wednesday, July 23 from 2 to 4 pm. This is certainly within their rights but it will not impede patient access to the Hospital for scheduled procedures, unscheduled care, such as emergency services, and/or visitors.
