He will discuss risk, prevention and current treatment options for stroke. The program takes place from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. To register, please call 401-456-3248.

Join the Certified Diabetes Educators from Fatima Hospital as they take a one hour tour through Dave’s Marketplace to better educate individuals on better food choices. This walk, led by a Registered Dietitian, will cover label reading, determining what makes a food is healthy or not, better eating alternatives, and Tips for successful grocery shopping. The tour takes place from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. and takes place at Daves Marketplace, 371 Putnam Pike/Smithfield Crossing in Smithfield. There is no fee for this program, however space is limited so please register in advance by calling Our Lady of Fatima Hospital Diabetes Management Center at 401-456-3746 and leaving your name and contact information (phone# and/or email address). There will be reserved space for current Fatima Diabetes Support Group members who register. The tour is co-sponsored by Fatima Hospital and Dave’s Marketplace.
