Newer, Faster CT Imaging System – Installed

Recent rapid advances in CT (computed tomography or
cat-scan) technology are changing the rules of cardiac disease.
Newer, faster CT machines like the latest 64-slice Philips scanner
installed in March at Fatima Hospital are capable of taking clear
pictures of a beating heart without an invasive catheter, sedation
or hospitalization.
A CT scan is now a better diagnostic option for patients who don't
have obvious symptoms, but still have high risk factors. The new CT
can handle as many as 60 procedures per day.
