At Our Lady of Fatima's Breast Care Center coordinated, comprehensive and collaborative care is the goal of our physician directed team. Our experienced staff of healthcare professionals is committed to providing you with responsive, personal attention. This includes timely and convenient access to screening and diagnostic mammography, breast ultrasounds, stereotactic core biopsy and other non-invasive diagnostic procedures.

Patient advocacy and patient education are also central to the mission of the breast Care Center. We understand the importance of having someone available to advocate for you and to help you navigate your way through the maze of decisions. Our lending library is another resource for patients and their families.

Responding to the Need for Comprehensive Breast Health Services

Although 80% of abnormal mammograms leading to biopsy prove to be benign, an individual woman's struggle against the fear and the potential of breast cancer can be filled with long, difficult periods of worrying, waiting - and not knowing.

That's why we've created Rhode Island's first community-based comprehensive breast care center. The Breast Care Center at Our Lady Of Fatima Hospital was developed in response to an identified need in the community for seamless delivery of the kind of breast health services that women prefer. From screening mammography to the diagnosis and treatment of breast cancer, we offer all the options women need.

Breast Care in a Supportive Environment

The staff at the Breast Care Center encourages women to become active participants in the management of their breast care. Together with our physicians, we provide psychosocial support and educational services to women with breast cancer and other related breast concerns that are tailored to meet individual needs. A multi-disciplinary team works together with our patients as partners, helping them to understand treatment options.Women facing a diagnosis of breast cancer today have more alternatives than ever before. We've brought all of these resources together under one roof to help you explore these alternatives and make the decision that feels right for you.
