Diabetes is an EPIDEMIC! Recognizing that informed individuals are better able to manage this very complex disease, the Diabetes Management Center at Fatima Hospital is offering 2-hour classes that will meet weekly for a total of five weeks.
During this 5-week session, you will learn about such topics as nutrition, medication, exercise, blood sugar monitoring, blood glucose goals, managing illness, coping strategies, the latest research and much more! You will meet and gain the support from others who share the diagnosis of diabetes. You will learn that you are not alone and leave with strategies for success!
This is an accredited program, recognized by both the American Diabetes Association and RI Department of Health.
The faculty is comprised of a dynamic team of nurses, pharmacists and registered dietitians, who are all certified diabetes educators, committed to empowering you with the knowledge you need to succeed!

4th Annual Our Lady of Fatima Hospital

In recognition of November being Diabetes Awareness Month, Fatima Hospital will proudly be collaborating with Rhode Island College to bring diabetes awareness, screenings for early detection and education to our community once again.
The program is free, offering blood glucose, blood pressure, foot sensation, circulation, mood & memory and fall risk screenings. A lecture series, along with informational and vendor booths will be available, providing information and education on diabetes management.
It is our goal at Fatima Hospital to help those in our community LIVE WITH DIABETES! If you have diabetes or have a family member or friend with diabetes, please visit us at the fair on November 17! Being held at . . .
